Tim graduated with a Bachelor of Business in 1982 majoring in accounting and business law. His family were directly involved in the building industry and, after serving an ‘apprenticeship’ in public accounting and becoming a Chartered Accountant, he quickly realised his passion centered around building projects as well. Having worked in a number of senior accounting and administrative positions for building and development companies, Tim’s experience is put to the test as our company continues to expand and grow.
Tony started as a carpentry apprentice at the tender age of 16, working under his father Barrie in a family owned building business. Tony quickly became the states youngest registered builder, running his own successful building company and going on to work for several multi-national building corporations in a variety of senior roles. Tony has a vast level of building and construction experience, including residential and commercial projects, and he maintains a very hands-on role in the business.

Halcyon Landing is a 180 home, over 50’s lifestyle village. This is an up market development allowing the consumer to choose from a range of market leading designs with optional variation and building enhancements.
To successfully manage this project Ausmar Commercial established a management team consisting of contract administrators, on-site estimators, administration staff and two on-site project managers. By starting 6 months ahead of schedule prior to any civil work being completed resulted in the project being finished 6 months early. This allowed the client to achieve homeowner handover as soon as the civil works were completed.
Utilising their in-house software solutions division Merj, Ausmar commercial implemented a tailored management and communications systems to ensure a smooth production workflow. The client was given full access to this system enabling them to better manage their own in-house systems.
The final outcome was a quality built, cleverly designed, award winning lifestyle complex tailored to its target market. The added ability for choice when selecting a residence added to this builds success.
Noosa Domain Retirement Village consists of 100 quality retirement homes as well as several luxurious common area facilities. Divided into 3 stages this development currently has 60 homes completed. Running of the site is being efficiently handled by only the one site manager and shared administration services within the Ausmar Group.
Having a lean management structure means that considerable savings were made throughout the construction process and passed on directly to the customer.
Due to the popularity of this development the client had purchasers eagerly awaiting their new homes.
It was with this in mind that speed of construction was a priority, but without sacrificing quality.
Keeping suppliers and trades informed every step of the way and encouraging them to be the solution, meant deadlines were met and purchasers were able to move in ahead of schedule. Ausmar Commercial are able to assist the client who understands their home owner’s needs, build a complex with a range of home styles to choose from and create a luxurious retirement village environment.
As this site is still in development, Ausmar Commercial is continuing its quality work as new stages are released, keeping on track and on budget.
