About Us
Meet the Ausmar Directors

The directors of Ausmar, Tim Hendy and Tony Bryan have a very diverse background in their respective professions. Their mix of skills work in unison to head up this professional and award winning Sunshine Coast based company. Both Tim and Tony are extremely passionate about Ausmar’s award winning dedication to customer service.

TIM HENDY
Tim graduated with a Bachelor of Business in 1982 majoring in accounting and business law. His family were directly involved in the building industry and, after serving an ‘apprenticeship’ in public accounting and becoming a Chartered Accountant, he quickly realised his passion centered around building projects as well. Having worked in a number of senior accounting and administrative positions for building and development companies, Tim’s experience is put to the test as our company continues to expand and grow.

TONY BRYAN
Tony started as a carpentry apprentice at the tender age of 16, working under his father Barrie in a family owned building business. Tony quickly became the states youngest registered builder, running his own successful building company and going on to work for several multi-national building corporations in a variety of senior roles. Tony has a vast level of building and construction experience, including residential and commercial projects, and he maintains a very hands-on role in the business.

Ausmar Commercial optimise each project with dedicated Ausmar management teams and processes allowing for instant communications and job progress monitoring. Ausmar Group was established as a central management hub for the group of companies under its umbrella, Sunshine Coast & beyond.

Being a central management point for communications, administration and IT development gives Ausmar Group the ability to monitor and manage the growing number of Ausmar Business Units. Owners and joint managing directors Tim Hendy and Tony Bryan work full time in the business and their passion for all things Ausmar continues to grow. MAROOCHY RIVER GOLF CLUB

2016 MBA State Sporting Facilities up to $5million

This project /contract encompasses the main Golf Club building, the Golf Academy Building and the Maintenance Sheds. The Golf Club building comprises of a function room with commercial kitchen, restaurant and bar, gaming lounges, pro shop, offices and amenities /change rooms.

The main entrance features an architecturally designed Porte Cochere supported by stone clad structural columns. A similar structure is also constructed at the back of the building overlooking the golf course.

Finishes include a combination of dry stone clad walls, rendered walls, panelled cladding and feature timber ceilings.

2016 MBA State Sporting Facilities up to $5million

The project delivery method was a DBB (Design-Bid-Build) or a DAB (Design-Award-Build). The contract period was 12 months and the project was delivered on budget and on time.

The construction was fairly straight forward the only issue being working on sand. Installing the stone work at heights presented a bit of a challenge as it had to be done using scaffolding. This project required kilometres of cabling and trenching to connect the many cameras around the site. A fully integrated audio and visual communications system was installed as part of this contract.

2016 HIA Regional Townhouse/Villa of the Year

This residence is located in the Halcyon Landing Retirement Village, Bli Bli. This 3 bedroom + study home is quite spacious comprising of 227m2 of luxury living space plus 39m2 of garage area. The clever little design includes everything one would want in a small home.

The kitchen is sleek and beautifully finished with modern appliances and a grand servery bench, complete with walk in pantry which leads through to the laundry. The open plan living /dining and kitchen open up to a generous covered patio area.

The master suite is well appointed with a large WIR and spacious ensuite. From the garage you can directly access both the walk in pantry and the laundry. The laundry is positioned in a very convenient spot with direct access to both the garage and onto a service court yard for easy access to the clothes drying area.

2016 State Townhouse/Villa of the Year

As this house was built for the elderly, it has been fitting with its own Lift to cater for those that are unable to use the stairs. The house has recessed door tracks and 920mm wide internal door openings for easy wheelchair maneuvering. Standard noggins have also been installed for future grab rails to showers and toilets.

The standard of workmanship is of very high quality and this was verified by an Independent Quality Assurance inspector hired by the client who conducted the inspections.

With a focus on environmental sustainability, this home has boasts superior energy ratings from features such as Hebel cladding, thermal insulation and light coloured roofing.

HAA04 - GLADES BELLVIEW, CABOOLTURE

2016 HIA Display Home up to $200k

The Belleview is a practical floor plan designed for seniors’ living that offers great value for money with many stylish features included in its 205m2 of living space. This house has been built with a traditional gable façade that exudes a timeless elegance and charm.

Step inside to discover a spacious open plan, designed to cater for modern living. Both the main bedroom and the living areas conveniently open onto a covered patio, much like the traditional veranda of years gone by. A central kitchen looks out to the living and dining areas and the clever floorplan opens up the home to give a great feeling of space and light.

The master suite features a very spacious ensuite and large built in robe. The main bath room has double entry points and also serves as an ensuite to the second bedroom. Both the bedrooms are situated at opposite ends of the house giving total privacy to the occupants.

2016 HIA Display Home up to $200k

The laundry opens out directly onto a service court yard where the washing can be hung out of view.

HALCYON LANDING AT BLI BLI

Halcyon Landing is a 180 home, over 50’s lifestyle village. This is an up market development allowing the consumer to choose from a range of market leading designs with optional variation and building enhancements.

To successfully manage this project Ausmar Commercial established a management team consisting of contract administrators, on-site estimators, administration staff and two on-site project managers. By starting 6 months ahead of schedule prior to any civil work being completed resulted in the project being finished 6 months early. This allowed the client to achieve homeowner handover as soon as the civil works were completed.

Utilising their in-house software solutions division Merj, Ausmar commercial implemented a tailored management and communications systems to ensure a smooth production workflow. The client was given full access to this system enabling them to better manage their own in-house systems.

The final outcome was a quality built, cleverly designed, award winning lifestyle complex tailored to its target market. The added ability for choice when selecting a residence added to this builds success.

NOOSA DOMAIN RETIREMENT VILLAGE

Noosa Domain Retirement Village consists of 100 quality retirement homes as well as several luxurious common area facilities. Divided into 3 stages this development currently has 60 homes completed. Running of the site is being efficiently handled by only the one site manager and shared administration services within the Ausmar Group.

Having a lean management structure means that considerable savings were made throughout the construction process and passed on directly to the customer.

Due to the popularity of this development the client had purchasers eagerly awaiting their new homes.

It was with this in mind that speed of construction was a priority, but without sacrificing quality.

Keeping suppliers and trades informed every step of the way and encouraging them to be the solution, meant deadlines were met and purchasers were able to move in ahead of schedule. Ausmar Commercial are able to assist the client who understands their home owner’s needs, build a complex with a range of home styles to choose from and create a luxurious retirement village environment.

As this site is still in development, Ausmar Commercial is continuing its quality work as new stages are released, keeping on track and on budget.
